***My grandfather wrote down many stories of his life to share with us and we love him for it. I became a blogger for fun about a year ago and figured out this would help in that sharing process. In collaboration with my mother and grandmother we have begun typing up his stories to be published for anyone interested to read. DO NOT TELL HIM ABOUT IT UNTIL APRIL 29, 2012! IT’S A BIRTHDAY SURPRISE.***
From the man himself:
When I turned 60 years of age I suddenly became more aware of my mortality. It dawned on me that I had lots to tell my grandbabies and that it was my responsibility that they hear it. For this reason I have decided to write down many of my experiences. I hope that when they see how I think and what accomplishments I have made, they will see a part of themselves.
I have a life centered around God, my wife, my kids, and certainly my grandkids and I have been greatly blessed.
I learned love and responsibility from my folks. I learned compassion and commitment from my wife. I learned patience and involvement from my kids and I learned it has all been worth it when my grandbabies came. They are the blessings of my life. Each one has a special gift and I am so proud of all of them.
It is my desire to chronicle my life for my grandbabies and their grandbabies. I hope that these ramblings will be an insight to the unpredictable thought patterns dictated by my genes of which I passed on with great love with considerable help of Grandma Sharon.
P.S. If anyone who reads this has a laugh or fond memory is brought back, then I’m greatly pleased.
God has watched over me when I was in danger and he has blessed my whole life. He gave me a great wife, a wonderful family and friends.
Thank you Father.
